IJD coating system installed at IOR

Noivion upgraded the PED system installed at Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (IOR) Nanobiotechnology laboratory “NaBi” with IJD technology.

IJD will be used to develop bio-compatible thin-films to enhance orthopaedic implants.

The Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute is the leading Italian institute of orthopaedics and traumatology. The institute’s strength lies in the close integration between healthcare (about 150,000 patients examined and 20,000 orthopaedic operations every year) and scientific research, which is carried out in nine laboratories at the institute employing a staff of 300, including doctors, biologists and engineers.
