We’re doing exceedingly well, the components of our first industry Ionized Jet Deposition (IJD) thin film system are well made, carefully assembled and so hold pressure. Finally, judge for yourself😊

After the entry of investor MIBCON Group Noivion Coating heads towards prototype of the industrial IJD system and subsequently the first serial industrial IJD system. For that purpose office and shopfloor place for providing coating services and for industrial and laboratory IJD systems assembly was rented in CONTERA PARK Říčany.
CONTERA PARK Říčany is a business, shopping and technology zone located on the west border of the city of Říčany. It is located on direct connection to Prague, on Prague highway outer circuit and close to the EXIT 12 of D1 highway – east-west backbone highway of the Czech Republic.

Prague, Czech Republic – Noivion Coating, an innovative manufacturer of laboratory thin film coating systems, today announced the entry of a financial investor MIBCON Group a.s.
“MIBCON Group‘s capital contribution will enable the company to expand its product portfolio of electron ablation (IJD) thin film deposition systems from the laboratory to the industrial systems sector,” said Jan Plecháček, Executive Director of Noivion Coating, commenting on the investment. “IJD technology is already mature enough for industrial deployment. In combination with other thin film vacuum deposition technologies, it will provide a significant competitive advantage and contribute to their even faster mass adoption”.
For MIBCON Group, this is another investment outside the ICT sector. Jan Holík, Chairman of the Board of Management, explains it as follows “As a major company in the ICT sector, we are looking for interesting opportunities in other fields and are thus diversifying our activities. What attracted us to Noivion Coating was its environmentally friendly technical solutions, its innovative approach and the management team, whose approach convinced us of the prospects of this investment.”

We present our new 2023 Lab Jet deposition chamber range from R&D to small production.
Lab Jet 4.0 is the smallest of the group. Fits one IJD deposition source and one additional source (sputtering, evaporation, etc.). Is a fully featured system for R&D and process development. A range of options are available to tailor made the system on any specific need:
The bigger sisters are:
Lab Jet 6.0, designed specifically for multi material processes can work with up to 3 IJD sources in co-deposition and can host additional conventional sputtering or evaporation sources.
Lab Jet 8.0, is the larger chamber of the range, designed to fit a carousel, a 5x IJD source unit and additional conventional sources for hybrid deposition. Is the perfect pilot deposition system to test scale-up processes or to satisfy small/medium industrial coating needs (1000s parts per day).

In a new publication by Czech Technical University the ionized jet deposition (IJD) method is applied to the preparation of thin films composed of refractory HfNbTiTaZr high-entropy alloy (HEA).
The results show that due to its stoichiometric reliability, the IJD method provides a flexible tool for deposition of complex multi-element materials, such as HEAs.

A novel and disrupting work by IMEM-CNR demonstrated a process to produce by IJD MoS2 thin films in the 200 nm range with 2D optoelectronic properties.
Many materials shows unique properties of great scientific and industrial interest when reduced to single atomic layers. However high volume or large are manufacturing solutions are currently still challenging.
This process shows an industrially viable process to manufacture large area 2D-like materials overcoming intrinsic technological difficulties in the production of atomic size layers.
The solution developed by IMEM-CNR researches leverage the unique IJD ablation dynamics resulting in an amorphous MoS2 matrix with ultra thin crystalline MoS2 inclusions (flakes) that allow the thin film to perform like a 2D layer despite being 200 nm thick.
